Layla Ceramic Effects CE-53 (Killing Red)

Hi everyone!  Only a few more days left in this holiday season, and I for one am glad for that.  I'm not a huge fan of Christmas, as I have very little time off from work to enjoy it.  This is the major reason for my lack of regular posts.  Come January, regular posting will resume-promise!

Today's polish is a new to me brand-Layla.  I have seen the brand on various blogs and the polishes always looked really cool, but I thought they were kind of pricey.  Enter my dear friend, my sister from another mister, Ily.  We are in a nail polish RAOK (Random Act of Kindness) group that did a holiday swap and I was her partner.  She purchased this beautiful baby for me, and I love it!  I'm not sure what the ceramic effect is supposed to be, because to me this applied like a regular flakie polish.  Little did I know that it's a jelly!  Killing Red is a true red jelly with golden/red flakies.  This had the standard jelly formula-thin-but there are a ton of flakies in there, so opacity was good with three coats.  The pictures are with base and top coat.

I think this particular color is great for the holidays, but it would also work year round for you red lovers out there.  Thank you, Ily, for yet another spectacular gift!
